The Standard Candy Company, maker of GooGoo Clusters, has filed suit against a California company that wanted fish oil added to Nashville's famous candy. Standard claims NutraBella, Inc. ordered up a batch of snack bars containing a supplement called DHA, made from fish oil or algae. It was supposed to be good for pregnant women. The Nashville people who've been making candy for more than 100 years warned the California people this would be a bad idea. But Nutrabella insisted. Now Nutrabella has left Standard holding the bag on $90,000 worth of snack bars that taste, well...fishy.
