The newest tourist attraction in Nashville is a 65 year old piece of military history.  It's a World War II DUKW, an amphibious truck used to land on the beaches of Normandy.  Now it will land on the shores of the Cumberland River to show tourists the sights from both land and water.  The Chamber of Commerce jumped at the chance to get a restored Duck Boat.  Cities around the world are using them to promote tourism.  Music City Duck Tours launched on Tuesday and is taking reservations online.   For a virtual ride, watch the video above from Newschannel5
The first DUKW was built in 1942 from a 2 1/2 ton General Motors cargo truck.  The Army needed an amphibious vehicle to keep supply lines moving in Europe during WWII. Click here for more history from the US Army Transportation Museum.
