Microsoft could release the new Windows7 operating system late this summer, when students are buying computers and getting ready to go back to school. The Register, a British tech newsletter, says completed code for Windows 7 will be released to early adopters during the coming week, with mass availability planned for the following Tuesday. Microsoft is still officially targeting a release in 2010, but if all goes well the company is expected to put Windows 7 on the market this year.
