Internet scams are spreading faster than swine flu. The Better Business Bureau is warning people not to fall for emails that are taking advantage of the emergency. More than 250 websites with the words "swine flu" were registered in the first few days of the flu outbreak, according to the Nashville Business Journal. And spammers are sending out emails that link to online pharmacies promising bogus cures.
The BBB's website recommends that you avoid opening e-mail from an unknown source and do not click on any links in the body of the e-mail or open any attachments. Instead, delete the e-mail or report it to the Better Business Bureau by forwarding the e-mail to BBBNash@aol.com, and the Federal Trade Commission spam@uce.gov .
