It's not your grandfather's Sears anymore. The 121-year old department store chain is experimenting with a concept that emphasizes online sales. The City Paper says the new store is called Mygofer. It opened last week in an empty Kmart store near Sears' headquarters in Joliet, IL near Chicago. Shoppers can order online and pick up their purchases in the store or at the drive-through. Bloomberg reports a surge in online traffic at Sears.com. The company got more than 15 million unique visitors online last month.
