If the economy has killed one of your favorite local stores, there's a grassroots campaign that might save the next one.  It's called the 3/50 Project.  A woman in Minneapolis came up with the concept and wrote about it online.  Now the idea is spreading across the country.  The 3/50 Project is a way to save businesses in your neighborhood.  You pick three independent stores and spend a total of $50 a month at them.   It's an economic stimulus project you control.
Newschannel 5 reports the project is catching on in Tennessee.
