As simple cell phones evolve into hand-held computers that sometimes work properly as a telephone, the job of the customer service agent becomes much more complicated and expensive.
“This is an industry that lends itself to bad customer service,” Greg MacDonald, a telecom analyst at National Bank Financial Inc. said. “Getting all those things right is not easy – and it’s not cheap.”
