The caller made it sound urgent and dialed 911 several times around midnight, claiming there were five gunmen at the Waffle House on Murfreesboro Road. But when Franklin Police got to the scene there were no gunmen...only 44 year old Jeffrey Stevens in a nearby parking lot.  Stevens is getting a personal tour of the Williamson County Jail tonight, where he's charged with Filing a False Report, a Class D felony in Tennessee.  
Deputy Chief Bruce Bateman warns pranksters that placing false 911 calls "needlessly ties up precious time of dispatchers and officers - time that might be the difference between life and death for someone experiencing a real emergency."
