Two Nashville attorneys are considering a legal challenge to the guns-in-bars law recently passed by the State Legislature, overriding a veto by Governor Bredesen.
Based on his own research, Nashville attorney David Randolph Smith determined that the claims that 37 other states already allow permit carriers to bring their guns into bars are false. in fact, the opposite is closer to the truth.
Smith and former Metro Council member Adam Dread think the law needs to be challenged, at least on the city level. The City Paper has more on this story.
