Police have new concerns over how Jason Jones died in Christiana early Sunday morning. The 33 year old father of three was visiting friends, when the neighbors next door got noisy. Detectives now say Jones tried to "force entry" into the house next door around 2:20a.m. A resident, identified as 25 year old Jimmy Derrick Moss, "may have fired several shots in self-defense." According to the Daily News Journal, no one has been charged yet. Police want a grand jury to sort out the facts.
Neighbors in the Windy Meadows subdivision tell NewsChannel 5 there was an ongoing dispute about noise that night, lasting several hours. They also complain about vandalism and other neighborhood problems they say are linked to people at that house.
The Jones family survived the Good Friday Tornadoes, and was starting to rebuild their home in Murfreesboro.
