Metro police Sergeant Mark Chesnut's recovery from gunshot wounds gets more encouraging every day. The latest positive sign, according to the City Paper, is his release from Vanderbilt Medical Center and transfer into a rehabilitation facility.
Chesnut was shot multiple times during a routine traffic stop last month. The Tennessean reports the two suspects in his shooting are due in court today for a hearing.
