Three Tennessee football players were arrested early Thursday for armed robbery. Freshmen wide receivers Janzen Jackson and Nu'Keese Richardson, both 19 years old,  are facing three counts each for attempted armed robbery. Defensive back Michael Edwards, 18, is facing similar charges. Police say they were with 21 year old Marie Montmarquet, who now faces robbery and drug charges.
According to WATE, two of the three suspects approached three men inside a vehicle. The victims say a man holding a handgun demanded everything from them. After showing their empty wallets, a third man showed up saying "We've got to go". Police used descriptions from the victims to investigate and the search led them to Gibbs Hall on the UT campus.
Coach Lane Kiffin and the UT athletics department are not talking about the investigation.
