The latest poll in Middle Tennessee shows consumer confidence is up slightly, but attitudes about the economy are still negative.  The Office of Consumer Research at MTSU polled people in Davidson, Rutherford and Williamson counties three days ago.  According to the Daily News Journal, they found the conumer confidence index made modest gains, but people still fear for their jobs.  The perception of how the economy is doing may be shifting from totally bad to moderately bad.
