A TV producer in Australia conceived of a programme where viewers would bid to ah, um, be the first with an Australian maiden. The maidens do, in fact, reap the larger immediate rewards in this deal, but not advertising, syndication and movie rights probably. Since money for ah, um, being with an Australian maiden would constitute illegal commerce on the in Australia, the producer plans to stage the event in Nevada, where such things are legal.
