Robert Blagojevich of Nashville is facing new questions about his fundraising activities on behalf of his brother, Rod Blagojevich, the governor of Illinois who was forced out of office last month. There are new allegations that Robert Blagojevich tried to get campaign fundraising help from Senator Roland Burris, shortly before the former Governor appointed Burris to the U.S. Senate. The ex-governor is accused of trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Obama.
Senator Burris admitted, in a document released Saturday, that he did speak with Robert three times — once in October and twice after the November election. Burris now faces a perjury investigation, because he failed to initially disclose under oath to a House panel that he was hit up for campaign cash by Blagojevich's brother.
