The White House is now predicting that Tennessee could add or create more than 70,000 jobs, using money from the Federal Stimulus Bill the President is signing on Tuesday. The estimate is three times higher than the prediction from Congressman Jim Cooper, who believes there will be 23,000 new construction jobs in the state over the next 18 months. He spoke Monday to the Nashville chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee. Metro Government expects to get $35 Million for road and bridge work according to NewsChannel5.
