Governor Bredesen has put out a list of 450 projects statewide that are getting federal stimulus money.  The governor says federal law requires him to spend the money on projects that are ready to get underway.  The state is getting $468 million for road and bridge projects, and must commit the money by June under the terms of the federal spending package.  The money is supposed to go to private contractors who will then put more people back to work and hopefully stimulate the economy.  Lawmakers still have to approve the list.   Here's a link to the list of projects in the Nashville area, called Region 3 on the TDOT website.
