Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey says Nashville's collar counties will be the battleground in the GOP race for governor. Ramsey is one of four Republican candidates running next year. He says Williamson, Rutherford, Wilson and Sumner are the fastest growing counties in the state, and Williamson has the largest number of Republican voters. Ramsey tells Tennessee This Week the key issue will be jobs. He says the next governor will have to do more with less, and balance the state budget. Ramsey wants to change campaign spending laws that don't allow lawmakers to raise campaign funds while the legislature is in session. As Speaker of the State Senate, that puts his campaign at a fundraising disadvantage.
