If you own property in Davidson county you can look up your latest appraisal online right now.  But be warned, your taxes are probably going up.  Someone in the assessor's office dumped the data online prematurely.  Most homeowners have yet to receive the official notice in the mail.  Property Assessor George Rooker tells the Tennesean he discovered the mistake about a week ago, but decided to leave the data up.   Rooker is bracing his staff for a flood of complaints from people who will be angry about paying more during a recession.  Most property values are up about 15%.
The Tennessean has instructions on how to look up your 2009 appraisal.  .
Link to Assessor's website.  The site is apparently swamped right now and takes a long time to load.
