The IRS is working with state officials to catch deadbeat parents in Tennessee. Under the federal Income Tax Refund Offset program, the state is intercepting tax refunds from parents who fail to pay their child support. So far this year they've netted more than $33 million from 24,000 people. Some children have been waiting years for court-ordered chld support. One intercept refund topped $13,000. Despite the bad economy, the state says child support collections are up 6% over last year.
