Thousands of people who depend on TennCare for health insurance could find their benefits changing dramatically under Governor Bredesen's plan to cut each state agency by 9%. The announcement came during annual budget hearings. According to News 2, an estimated 400,000 people would find new limits on their benefits. TennCare Director Darin Gordon estimates anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 of those Tenncare recipients might exceed new benefit caps.  The possible cuts will exclude pregnant women and children.
