Lawmakers in the Tennessee General Assembly decided this week to spend their summer vacation worrying about pedophile ice cream truck drivers.
By a voice vote House Agriculture Committee members created a sumer study committee to sort out the details: who should conduct background checks, who should pay the checks and what is the penality for violation.
Arguments that current law covers the situation fell on deaf ears.
Perhaps they were drowned out by the Good Humor Man's bell.
