People walking along, eating, even having a conversation with their head down, focused on that device int heir hands, thumbs working furiously.
Texting, constant texting, has become an unfortunate way of life for many and a nuisance for a lot of us.
We've heard of the hazards of texting while driving or while performing others taskes that demand our full attention.
But now, those hazards are believed to go beyond the obvious and into more troubling territory.
The phenomenon is beginning to worry physicians and psychologists, who say it is leading to anxiety, distraction in school, falling grades, repetitive stress injury and sleep deprivation.
