Does it really take gum seven years to be digested? Do fingernails and hair still grow after death?
We've got quite a body of health mythology we've learned over the years. And it is just that. Myth. And despite many efforts to debunk them, they endure.
Two doctors associated with Indiana University have a book out in which they tackle many of the medical myths we encounter regularly.
And above, Dr. Nancy Snyderman takes on a few more.
By the way, fingernails and hair don't continue to grow post-mortem.
