Hickman Community Hospital is creating a Rural Heart Failure project with a $372,594 grant from the federal government.  The program will create a uniform approach to treating heart failure in rural areas, including Benton, Coffee, Franklin, Grundy, Henry, Hickman, Lewis, Moore, Perry, and Stewart counties. The goal is to improve diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart disease and reduce the number of deaths. Hickman Community Hospital is affiliated with Saint Thomas Heart, which will guide the project.
