The death of a five-year-old Metro school student has put school officials and the public on alert, watching carefully for any signs of illness that might be caused by the H1N1 virus..
The child became sick on Friday, was admitted to the hospital Monday and died the same day.
With school back in session, extra precautions are being taken in places like day care centers, where children may be expecially vulnerable. See more here from News 2.
