Tennessee and Indiana healthcare workers are the first in the nation to receive the H1N1 vaccine, according to federal health authorities.  LeBonheur Children's Medical Center in Memphis got a shipment of the nasal spray vaccine Monday morning. Three children have already died from H1N1 at that hospital.  The strategy is to vaccinate health care workers first, so they can take care of sick children and others who are most at risk.
Authorities say over the next few months they will ship out 10 - 20 million doses for the public.  They strongly encourage everyone to get the vaccine. Tennessee and Indiana are among 27 states with widespread swine flu, as CNN reports.
According to a CNN/Opinion Corp. poll in late August, two-thirds of Americans said they plan to be vaccinated against H1N1 flu.
