The Metro Health Department is offering free H1N1 vaccines to the general public this week. Healthcare workers were first priority, but a surplus of doses are available. The nasal spray clinic will open Tuesday at 7 a.m. at the Lentz Public Health center on 23rd Avenue North and will be open until Friday or until supplies are gone, as Newschannel 5 reports. The vaccine arrived over a week ago in Tennessee and Indiana.

Having difficulty understanding the H1N1 virus? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides some very helpful information.
