If you live in the Middle Tennessee area and are starting to feel eaten alive by mosquitos, there's a good reason for that, and an inherent danger:

The Flood of 2010 has contributed to more mosquitoes than normal, and apparently bats are in short supply.

State health officials say Tennessee had nine human cases of West Nile Virus in 2009 and although that number was half the record from the previous year, officials warn against a false sense of security.

West Nile is usually spread during July or August.
