Composer Paul Williams, who is credited (or blamed, depending on your perspective) for many 70's hits such as "Evergreen" and "The Rainbow Connection" is now taking on the 50's. The product of his labors is at the Tennessee Center for the Performing Arts this week and the City Paper takes us backstage to meet some of the players.
Williams was recently in Nashville, where he was named President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ASCAP (the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers). The Tennessean has a story about how Willliams was tapped to take his talents to the world of The Fonz, the Cunninghams and Pinky Tuscadero for "Happy Days: The Musical".
The video above is a promotional trailer for the new show.
Here is some home video of the new production, featuring a new song by Paul Williams.
And here is the clip from the first time the show jumped the shark, but evidently not the last.
