Williamson County Schools are watching what may be a new trend. Teachers logged a number of students leaving the school system this year. The Tennessean reports Williamson schools lost 36 students during September. "It is unusual for Williamson County. We typically grow throughout the year," said communications director Carol Birdsong. She thinks the down economy is forcing some families to move away, especially if parents find new jobs. According to Channel 4 News, officials are concerned over the situation but still dealing with crowded conditions in many schools, which gained 800 new students overall this fall.
