Real estate has taken a huge hit in the last year across the nation, but Middle Tennessee is seeing growth in home sales. Last month, the Williamson County Association of Realtors reported a 62% increase from November 2008. According to Assocation president Karen Baker, the increase is a result of President Obama's extension of the first time home buyer tax credit. Middle Tennessee realtors feared the closing of General Motors would hurt sales, but impact has been minimal, as Newschannel 5 reports.
