Just when you thought it was safe to visit the Conecuh National Forest in Alabama, a bunch of tree-huggers go and release 18 delinquent juvenile Indigo Snakes!

What were they, born in a barn?

For cryin' in a bucket, these babies can grow up to over 9 feed long and they can kill their prey by beating it to death on nearby objects!

Actually they're generally docile and attractive and as long as one doesn't want to have you over for dinner, you needn't worry about being bashed against a big rock.

In fact, it's a threatened species so the re-introduction of the critter is a good thing for the longleaf pine forest.
