Seems our friends to the East have a bit of a Kudzu problem and they're finally calling for help from kudzu removal experts.
Kudzu, native to Japan and China was introduced in this country in the early part of the last century, to help solve problems with erosion. However, in the Southeast US, it grows like, well, like kudzu.
For the record, kudzu is not all that bad. Parts of the plant are edible, it has a variety of valuable uses and does very good things to the soil, but it just doesn't want to get out of the way.
We hope you're taking notes, there will be a test.
Oh, the removal experts: Knoxville City Council will use a $10,000 grant. To get goats. To eat the kudzu. And look cute doing it.
If you want to know more, WATE WATE will tell you.
