Bats in the Great Smoky Mountains are getting wiped out by disease. 400,000 have died from white-nose syndrome in nine states, including Tennessee. It's a fungus that can be spread by humans to bats. The National Park is immediately closing its 17 caves, to protect the bats that hibernate there.
