John Hughes wrote those words. Ferris Bueller said them. Then John Hughes, at the peak of his movie-making career, lived them. He stepped away from the movie business to spend more time with his family.
John Hughes died this week of a heart attack at age 59. Too soon. But not before he looked around at his family and made them his priority.
