Speaking of [No Recipes]

Some readers will remember an earlier story from [No Recipies] regarding ramen.  We illustrated the story with a music video by Japanese pop singer-songwriter, composer, pianist and actress Ai Otsuka. We chose that particular version of the song because we liked the graphics, but readers may remember that with the exception of one word, the lyrics were entirely in Japanese.

To remedy that situation we've illustrated this story with a subtitled version of the Ramen Song.

In addition to being fun to watch and hear, the song contains a pun, a play on words between the words "miso" and "mizo," which are nearly homonyms but mean "soup" and "key point," or "big question."  It's more clear in the current video.
