We're glad to welcome back [No Recipes]. Plus, we've decided there's no "regular day" on which to publish this feature. At least we think that's what we've decided.
If you remember what this is about, please feel free to skip to the details. But if you're new to this feature, Chef Mark Matsumoto likes to experiment in the kitchen, usually with what little scraps are left behind and only after he's created something scrumptious does he document his work.
Think of lab notes in an experimental kitchen. And you can call those notes "recipes," irrespective of the title of Marc's blog: [No Recipes] Savory, spicy, and redolent of garlic and basil, it’s not like the chicken really needs any help, but what really sets this dish off is the fried egg on top. Sunny-side-up and yolk still runny, the egg adds just a touch of velvety richness to this humble weeknight meal. On a pile of hot jasmine rice, this basil chicken is heaven on a plate.
Find out how Marc does this on his blog.
