Nashville's hockey team, the Predators, started out gangbusters when the franchise first came to town. The games were a magnet for the 'seen and be seen' set. But then the Titans came to town competing for those discretionary dollars and the novelty of big league hockey began to wane. It has been a battle for the club to qualify for NHL funds based on paid attendance. Today's story in The Tennessean illustrates that this year is no different.
