Lane Kiffin and his Tennessee staff came up just short this week in their recruiting pitch to Miami (FL) transfer Robert Marve, who chose a scholarship offer from Purdue over walking on this year in Knoxville. That said, it wouldn't seem to be that big of a whiff for the Vols. Tennessee and Vanderbilt are two of the top teams slugging it out for a top 2010 quarterback prospect, and if nothing else has been proven during his time in the Big Orange, it's that Kiffin knows how ruffle the feathers and rally the troops.
