After Vanderbilt coach Tim Corbin's complaint led to Tennessee having one of their bats confiscated in the regular season finale at Hawkins Field and bat-manufacturer Easton threatening lawsuits against tamperers of composite bats, the NCAA has decided to test bats for the first time ever before batters step into the box at Rosenblatt Stadium. Yes, all the bats at the College World Series in Omaha were confiscated prior to the tournament and given a thorough inspection process, with validated bats tagged with a permanently-attached sticker.
