In the latest trough of the soap opera that has formed the epicenter of the college hoops offseason, UK superstar guard Jodie Meeks has decided to remain in the NBA Draft. This has to be considered the lone low personnel point of the Wildcats' offseason, as nearly everything else has gone right in Rupp country since March. Though All-SEC forward Patrick Patterson had higher draft stock, he elected to remain in Lexington for at least another year, and P-Pat will be joined by one of the greatest recruiting hauls in college basketball history, roughly augmenting the already historic signing class John Calipari previously had in place at Memphis with the top remaining pieces of departed coach Billy Gillispie's haul. As the Calipari turns, the rest of the SEC waits to see if Wall and Cousins will qualify.
