Middle Tennessee State's top receiver has been suspended for the season. He'll be a little busy serving time for beating up his ex-girlfriend, not once, but twice this year. Eldred King was sentenced to 14 days in jail and 8 weeks in an anger management program, plus he must pay medical expenses for MTSU student Dazarae Higgs.
Higgs took out an order of protection in May, after King punched her in the face, kicked her in the head, and choked her until she passed out. In the latest incident police say King had a knife and refused to drop it until they pepper sprayed him. As the Tennessean reports, Higgs thinks the penalties aren't stiff enough and King should be permanently banned from the football program at MTSU .
