Though the long-awaited return of an NFL legend has inevitably spiked ticket sales across the NFC North Division, Brett Favre's deal with the Minnesota Vikings has irked at least one prominent voice: Vikings Hall-of-Famer Fran Tarkenton. Favre, infamous of late for his waffling ways with prospective teams, signed with the Vikes for $25 million just days after training camp broke in Mankato, Minn. Though the media circus surrounding Favre has clearly reached farcical proportions, the stars may be aligning for himself and the Vikings in the twilight of his career. Meanwhile, ex-Vanderbilt quarterback and divisional rival Jay Cutler has just been announced as the NFL's top jersey seller since April, though Favre (who Cutler has relentlessly been compared to) is likely to take that mantle soon.
