The accused, 22 year old David Kernell, chose not to take the stand.  Kernell's attorney says the email intrusion was a prank.  The government contends the young man was trying to derail Palins vice presidential bid.  Kernell is the son of long time state representative Mike Kernell, D-Memphis.  More from the Memphis Commercial Appeal.  The comments on the case are interesting as well.  They seem to be split between giving Kernell a suspended sentence and actual jail time.
